Broadband in GA
GPLS partners with Georgia's libraries to provide Broadband network support for all of Georgia's 409 library branches.
Libraries in Georgia average speeds from 100Mbps - 1Gbps, regardless of location: Urban, Rural or Suburban. Georgia's libraries have worked hard to steadily increase their broadband availability and speed. Check out a map of library WiFi availability here and the statewide averages below:
2018: 260Mbps statewide average
2019: 280Mbps statewide average
2020: 330Mbps statewide average
2021: 435Mbps statewide average

The primary focus of GPLS broadband support is to ensure that Georgia's libraries stay connected so that they, in turn, can provide support, education, research, public service, government, and economic development for their communities via their broadband networks.
