Setup and Usage Instructions

1. Setting Up the Converter

1. Power On the Device:

   • Plug the included USB cable into the converter and connect it to the power adapter.

   • Insert the power adapter into a wall outlet. Press and hold the power button on the converter until it turns on.

2. Insert Storage Media:

   • Insert a USB flash drive or SD card (512 GB or smaller, FAT32 format recommended) into the corresponding slot. Ensure the gold contacts on the SD card face the correct direction.

2. Connecting Your Video Source

1. Connect the RCA Cables:

   • Plug the yellow, white, and red connectors into the OUT ports on your video source (VCR, camcorder, or DVD player).

   • Connect the other ends into the AV IN ports on the converter.

2. Optional S-Video Input:

   • For higher-quality video, use the S-Video input port instead of the yellow RCA connector. (Note: S-Video does not carry audio, so you must still use the red and white RCA cables for sound.)

3. Recording Videos

1. Prepare Your Source:

   • Insert a tape into the VCR or camcorder and rewind it to the desired starting point. For DVDs, ensure the disc is ready for playback.

2. Start Recording:

   • Press Play on your video source.

   • On the converter, press the Rec/Stop button to start recording.

   • The video will appear on the converter’s screen and save directly to your USB drive or SD card.

3. Stop Recording:

   • Press the Rec/Stop button again to end the recording. The file will be automatically saved.

4. Transferring Files to a Computer

1. Remove the USB drive or SD card from the converter after ensuring recording has stopped.

2. Insert the storage device into your computer.

3. Open the Video folder on the drive to access your recorded files.

• Device Won’t Turn On: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected. Hold the power button for at least 2–3 seconds.
