Sense 3D Scanner

Sense 3D Scanner

Handheld 3D Scanner for mid-size objects. Can scan anything from a face to a motorcycle. Very simple and quick to use and allows you to clean up and smooth the final scan before saving. Saves in the same format used by most 3d printers so there are no additional steps or conversion required.

To scan an object, start the scanning software (free) and select your object size. Plug the scanner in to your laptop via USB. When you are holding the scanner about 15 inches away from the target object begin the scan. Walk around the object holding the scanner at the same height and distance. As you walk around the object you will see the 3D object being built in real time. The scan will show white holes where it needs more time/angles of scan. Move the scanner to those locations for the final pass and try to hit the white areas from a few different angles. Once the scan looks solid (about 2 minutes for a face scan) end scanning and you will be presented with a few easy to use, basic editing tools. One you finish editing you can save the file as a .stl or upload it to your cloud storage account.
