Welcome to the Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) Oculus Rift VR Kit page. This kit provides an immersive virtual reality experience ideal for educational, recreational, and community events. It includes everything needed for setup and operation in a library setting.

Setup and Usage Instructions
1. Unpacking the Kit
Carefully remove all components from the case and verify that everything is present.
Position the sensors at the corners of your play area, ensuring they are stable and unobstructed.
2. Connecting the Oculus Rift
Plug the HDMI and USB cables from the headset into the laptop.
Connect the sensors to the laptop using the provided USB cables.
3. Installing and Configuring Oculus Software
Open the pre-installed Oculus software on the laptop.
Follow the setup wizard to:
Pair the Touch controllers.
Define a seated play area.
Calibrate the headset and sensors.
4. Using the Oculus Rift
Seated Usage Recommendation: Due to the short cord, users should remain seated while using the headset.
Adjusting the Headset:
Loosen the head strap, place the headset over your eyes, and tighten the strap for a secure fit.
Interacting in VR:
Use the Touch controllers to interact with objects or navigate menus.
Press the Oculus button on the controller to access the Universal Menu for adjustments or exiting to the Home environment.

Tracking Issues: Ensure the sensors are unobstructed and positioned correctly.
Display Problems: Restart the Oculus software or reconnect the cables.
Controller Issues: Re-pair the controllers through the software’s device settings.
Checklist for Returning the Kit
Verify all components are included: headset, controllers, sensors, cables, and laptop.
Clean the headset and controllers with a soft cloth.
Securely pack everything in the rugged case.
