FY2026 INTENTIONS And Policies

Grant Intentions

The allocation for this funding is specifically for the improvement and upgrade of public access technology and technology infrastructure. Requested equipment must have a five-year shelf life that is for public use only. Please refer to the FY2026 Resources below to guide purchasing plans and reimbursements. 

In previous funding years, this funding has been provided either in the form of bonds administered through the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) or cash to libraries administered through individual contracts. In FY2026, the funding has been provided as cash to GSFIC, which will administer the funding through the same process and policies as their traditional bonds. Therefore, even though the traditional bond commitment letter is not included as part of the funding package, the overall process and governing policies are essentially the same.
